We offer a range of design services that can be tailored to your needs and budget to create beautiful spaces no matter their size, shape or location. Working on both residential and commercial projects, our friendly service combines your wishes with our design skills to create the perfect garden for you. Our full design service breaks down into the three stages below
Stage 1
Following a free consultation to talk through your requirements, budget and likely costs, we carry out a survey of your garden and analysis of key elements that will inform the design process. We then use CAD to deliver a floor plan and 3D rendered presentation drawings to help you understand our proposed design, accompanied by a mood board to aid visualisation. This allows you to comment on the proposals and have further input into the final design. After any revisions, we create an agreed master plan ready for pricing.
Stage 2
A series of detailed drawings and specifications are now produced in CAD that take the sketch plan and produce full and detailed information on the design and construction methods. These are needed by the landscape constructors to build the garden and ensure work is carried out to the highest standard. The drawings also deliver a final and fixed quotation for the project via our inhouse team or a tender process
Stage 3
After discussing potential options with you, we propose a planting design scheme and create an accompanying mood board. Drawings depicting plant varieties, numbers and spacing are produced together with a list of plants and pot sizes. We then use this plan to source plants from our carefully chosen suppliers and ensure they are all placed correctly. A care plan can be produced to help you or a gardener ensure the plants look at their best. As the design phase moves into construction we can hold regular on-site inspections and meetings with landscapers and any other contractors to ensure the project runs smoothly and is on track.
The choice is yours – design fees and options
Our pricing is based on the Society of Garden Designers fee scale and a percentage of the overall construction cost of your garden. We also offer a fixed fee option and can create a design experience that best meets your budget and desired level of service. For example, we can provide just the design service described in stage one above or planting service described in stage three.
